It’s upon us!. Tom King, president of the New york State Rifle and Pistol Assoc. stated on Friday’s Cam and Company on the Sportsman’s Channel, that the NYSAFE Act’s long awaited background check for ammunition sales is ready to go. Yeah, we all forgot about that one right? Wrong!

Ready and waiting in the wings is the ammunition background check, part of the NYSAFE Act passed under Gov. Cuomo and his henchmen.

His announcement indicated that sources within the NY State Police said that the ammunition background check provision is actually ready to be implemented, but that it has been put on hold by the Cuomo Administration, pending the Post Election time frame for its implementation. Now why do we suppose that is? Do you think he might be afraid of even more backlash from 2nd Amendment advocates like you and I?

My question is why should we make him wait? Let’s give him the backlash right now, here, today! Get out there and talk up the elections, get everyone you know out there to vote against our friends in Albany who gave us this dark of the night gift, The New York SAFE Act.

Conceivably the most onerous legislation ever passed in the dark of night. The NY Safe Act is the baby of Governor Cuomo and his henchmen.

It is absolutely crucial that we defeat those who voted for this law, regardless of party lines. Andrew Cuomo, Kathy Hochul, Eric Schneiderman, Dean Skelos, Kenneth LaValle, John Flanagan, Philip Boyle, Carl Marcellino, Kemp Hannon, Jack Martins, and my good friend Dean Skelos, all have to go away! Virtually all of these are incumbents, and all of Long Island’s State Senators are Republicans. Party lines are NOT an indication of 2nd Amendment support! THEY ALL EARNED an “F” for their stand on 2nd Amendment issues. Most of them voted for the NYSAFE Act.

It is an uphill battle, and it is one which we will likely lose, but it is one which we MUST FIGHT never the less! Given their druthers these so called representatives would strip us of the right to gun ownership outright. They will tell you that they respect your “2nd Amendment right to hunt”, but last time I checked hunting was not mentioned in the 2nd Amendment anywhere. This is code for “I do not respect your right to self defense, or your right to own firearms of your choosing!”

Please do everything you can to aid campaigns running against these candidates enumerated above and then get out and vote! Vote Early and Vote Often! Then Vote with your pocket and Join the fight, Join the NRA!
